Empowering Families Through Emotional and Relationship Education

Over the past 10 years, we have been deeply committed to education. During this decade, we have walked alongside countless families and children on their journeys of learning and growth, and we have witnessed how vital mental health is to education.

To continue supporting both parents and children, the Asian Family Support Centre and Green Families Education are proud to launch a series of free community seminars as part of Queensland Mental Health Week 2025.

This year, we are offering 8 free seminars, divided into two categories: sessions for parents and sessions for children, designed to support family wellbeing from multiple perspectives.

(Helping parents strengthen parenting strategies and understand their children’s needs)

•Wise Parenting: Understanding your child’s emotions and behaviour – Chinese session (Speaker: Sunny)

•Protecting Children’s Online Safety – Chinese session (Speaker: Senior Police Officer)

•Youth Mental Health: Risk and Protective Factors – English session (Speaker: Clinical Mental Health Specialist Adam Lo)

•Reducing Screen Dependence to Improve Children’s Focus –Chinese session (Speaker: Billy)

•Helping Shy Children Shine with Confidence – English Session (Speaker: Judith)

•ETC Employment & Training Seminar: Resources to support parents in study and career pathways (Speaker: ETC Representative)

(Directly engaging children to build self-protection and wellbeing skills)
