ArtBeat Music and Arts Festival

Every year, Gold Coast Health celebrates the strengths and creativity of those facing mental health challenges with ArtBeat.

The annual art exhibition and festival showcases the artistic talents of mental health consumers and provides a platform for creativity, self-expression and awareness.

Aligned with Queensland Mental Health Week, the event aims to remove the stigma around mental health by giving consumers a platform to express their experiences in their own way, offering a joyful space for the community to come together to celebrate their strengths and have important conversations about mental health.

Mental health consumers commence work months in advance, putting their heart and soul into their creations. Consumers are supported by the Mental Health and Specialty Services Creative Artisan and Music Therapist, who provide guidance and help consumers to prepare their creative contributions for display or performance on the festival stage.

Channelling their self-expression into something that can be shared publicly each year encourages many of our consumers to remain focused on recovery and builds meaning and purpose into their lives.

The ArtBeat festival is open to the public, so please join us for live music, food, giveaways, games, arts and crafts, face painting, free mental health information and more.
