Hooked on Mental Health

The Balonne Shire Council in conjunction with local collaborators, is proud to host ‘Hooked on Mental Health’, a fun and creative community event celebrating Queensland Mental Health Week 💚.

📅 Held on October 5 at 12pm in Rowden Park, this event is being run alongside the St George Fishing & Restocking Club’s annual fishing competition 🐟, with support from the Blue Lures (a local initiative that is led by the St George Police) the Balonne Shire Youth Council (made up of young people aged 12-25), bringing together, creativity, conversation and connection all while promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.

🎨 We’re reeling in the community of all ages for a unique activity: painting fishing lures!
This is a great way to express yourself, meet new people, and start meaningful conversations.
