Hooked on Mental Health

The Balonne Shire Council in conjunction with local collaborators, is proud to host ‘Hooked on Mental Health’, a fun and creative community event celebrating Queensland Mental Health Week

Rowden Park, St George

12pm – 2pm

This event is being run alongside the St George Fishing & Restocking Club’s annual fishing competition

The paint your own lures activity has been made possible with support from the Blue Lures, a local initiative that is led by the St George Police

We also extend a special mention to the Balonne Shire Youth Council, made up of young people aged 12-25, who bring together creativity, conversation, and connection, all while promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.

We’re reeling in the community of all ages for a unique activity – painting fishing lures!

This is a great way to express yourself, meet new people, and start meaningful conversations.
