Welcoming Babies Day 2025 – Mount Isa

Welcoming Babies Day is a joyful celebration of the newest members of the Mount Isa community and the families who love and care for them. Babies born in 2024 and 2025 can be registered to receive a personalised certificate and gift bag, with a special presentation from the Mayor and the chance to capture keepsake photos.

Families are invited to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a relaxed morning on the Civic Centre lawn, connecting with other parents and carers. Local community and support organisations will be on hand with information and resources to help nurture children’s wellbeing, while stalls, food, and free iceblocks add to the festive atmosphere.

This event is a warm reminder that raising children is a community effort and that connection and support are vital from the very beginning.
