Visit WebsiteIn recognition of Queensland Mental Health Week 2025, Metro South Health proposes a staff-focused well-being activation at Beaudesert Hospital, tailored to the unique needs of rural and remote healthcare workers and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
Stronger Together: Rural Connections for Mental Well-being is a drop-in style event offering staff a welcoming space to pause, connect, and explore simple, evidence-based strategies for supporting their mental health. Through mindful activities like guided breathing, creative expression, reflective journaling, and planting a symbolic “nature-in-a-pot,” the event invites staff to take a moment for themselves, fostering calm, connection, and a sense of belonging.
This initiative reflects the 2025 QMHW theme, “Connect for mental health,” and aligns with Metro South Health’s commitment to inclusive, psychologically safe workplaces. With more than 30% of MSH staff identifying as CALD and serving some of the state’s most geographically dispersed communities, this event highlights our ongoing effort to support mental well-being across all settings.
By bringing this experience to Beaudesert, we aim to strengthen our rural workforce’s sense of connection to self, to colleagues, and to the wider MSH community.
