2017 Grants for community events

Grants are available to Queensland communities to help spread awareness and contribute to improved mental health and wellbeing in their local community.

The new grant program supports communities across the State to host community mental health awareness events and activities for Queensland Mental Health Week.

The grant program is funded by the Queensland Mental Health Commission and managed by the Commission’s partner, the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health (QAMH).

The grant program

The grant program is offering grants up to $2,500 to local organisations to cover or contribute to costs for events and activities. This could include venue hire, merchandise, printing or photocopying, refreshments or engaging a mental health specialist.

Local community activities provide a focal point for awareness, education and understanding, and help foster community connection and inclusion for those living with mental illness, their families, carers and support people.

How to apply

Organisations interested in applying for a grant must email a completed Grant Application Form and supporting documents to projects@qamh.org.au by 5.00pm Friday, 1 September 2017.
