Social media challenge
We absolutely love seeing how everyone is participating in Queensland Mental Health Week and embracing this year’s theme ‘Awareness, Belonging, Connection’!
Tag us in your event pictures during QMHW and you can go into the draw to win one of five prizes, thanks to our prize sponsor, HESTA.
How to enter
1. Make sure the event is registered on the QMHW website.
2. Follow the QMHW Facebook and Instagram accounts.
3. Share your event image on Instagram or Facebook between Saturday 7 October – Sunday 21 October 2023 with the hashtag #QMHW and tag our page (@queenslandmentalhealthweek on Facebook and @qldmentalhealthweek on Instagram). Photos of events that are judged best at exemplifying the QMHW 2023 theme of Awareness, Belonging, Connection will win.
Photos entered into the Instagram component of the social media challenge will be added to a Facebook album on the Queensland Mental Health Week Facebook page so people can be inspired by all the images and react to their favourites. The top 2 photos with the most reactions at 5pm on 31 October 2023 will be awarded the People’s Choice prize.

Prizes
3 x $200 visa gift cards to be awarded to the three best photos that exemplify the QMHW theme, Awareness, Belonging, Connection.
2 x $100 visa gift cards to be awarded to the two photos with the most reactions on Facebook.

Terms and conditions
- The promoter is Queensland Mental Health Week through CheckUP (ABN 56123426111) of Level 2, 36 Russell Street South Brisbane, Qld 4101.
- Entrants into the 2023 Queensland Mental Health Week social media challenge will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions
- Entry is open to residents of Queensland except:
- employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members
- employees of the Queensland Mental Health Commission and their immediate family members
- persons who have breached the terms and conditions of any promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter (Entrants).
- The challenge period commences on Saturday 7 October 2023 at 8:00am (AEST) and finishes on Sunday 21 October 2023 at 5:00pm (AEST). Entrants are encouraged to share their event photos during Queensland Mental Health Week which runs from Saturday 7 October to Sunday 15 October 2023.
- To enter the 2023 Queensland Mental Health Week social media challenge entrants must:

- Have an event registered on the QMHW website.
- Follow the QMHW Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Share an image of a QMHW event image on Instagram or Facebook between Saturday 7 October – Sunday 21 October 2023 with the hashtags #QMHW and tag the QMHW page (@queenslandmentalhealthweek on Facebook and @qldmentalhealthweek on Instagram).
- Judging criteria – Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Best photos exemplifying the QMHW 2023 theme of Awareness, Belonging, Connection. Three winners will be selected.
- People’s choice awards: Photos entered the Instagram component of the social media challenge will be added to a Facebook album on the Queensland Mental Health Week Facebook page, so people can be inspired by all the images and react to their favourites. The top 2 photos with the most reactions at 5pm on 31 October 2023 will be awarded the People’s Choice prize.
- Entrants may not win more than one prize. Once an Entrant is determined to have won a prize, they are not eligible for any additional prizes.
- The prize winners will be contacted by CheckUP staff members via Facebook or Instagram
- The QMHW Instagram page and QMHW Facebook Page will announce the winners.
- If prize winners do not provide CheckUP staff with shipping details within 14 business days of being notified, they will no longer be eligible to receive their prize. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to select alternate winner/s if it determines that the winner/s do not adequately satisfy these Terms.
- Prizes are not transferable. If for any reason a winner does not take the prize, then the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
- The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to verify, or require the Entrant to verify, the Entrant’s identity, eligibility to enter the Promotion, entry submitted and compliance with these Terms.
- If there is a dispute about the identity of the Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the identity of the Entrant.
- Entrants’ personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without the Entrant’s consent unless required or authorised by law. View Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
- If the Promotion is compromised in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion. Notice of any changes to the Promotion, including any consequential changes to these Terms, will be given on the website.
- To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury, damages, expenses or loss whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) to persons or property arising in any way out of the Promotion.
- Each Entrant indemnifies and keeps indemnified the Promoter against all claims, losses or damages and expenses suffered by the Promoter or any third parties arising out of the breach of these Terms, the conduct of the Entrant in relation to the Promotion or use of a Prize.
- The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the Promotion is final and binding on all Entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding such decisions, the Promotion, these Terms or the results.
- Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
