#QMHWTakeTime Social Media Challenge

Aligning with our Take Time ⁠— for Mental Health theme, we are inviting people across Queensland to share with us what it looks or feels like when they ‘take time’ for the things that boost their mental wellbeing.

There will be 3 prizes given away in total!

The #QMHWTakeTime social media competition will include an Instagram Challenge that will run during 2020 Queensland Mental Health Week and the week preceding (Sunday 4 October to Sunday 18 October). Instagram Challenge prizes:

This will be followed by a People’s Choice prize giveaway based on the amount of reactions a photo receives from a Facebook photo album that will include all public Instagram challenge entries. Voting will be open from Wednesday 21 October to Wednesday 4 November. People’s Choice prize:

How does it work?

  1. Visit our Queensland Mental Health Week Instagram and Facebook pages and follow us.
  2. Read the detailed #QMHWTakeTime Terms and Conditions. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions
  3. Share your creative image on Instagram between Sunday 4 October – Sunday 18 October 2020 with the hashtag #QMHWTakeTime telling us what it means for your mental health. And don’t forget to tag @qldmentalhealthweek. Your post can capture anything from a moment, location to an artwork. You might like to show how important it is to be active, keep learning, give, connect, enjoy the moment and care for our planet. Just be creative, be yourself and join the conversation
  4. If your profile is private, you will have to send a DM of the photo and proof of the post.
  5. A prize draw will take place on Tuesday 20 October 2020. Winners will be contacted through a private message on Instagram and arrangements will be made for them to receive their prize.
  6. If you entered the Instagram Challenge component of the #QMHWTakeTime social media competition your photo will be added to a Facebook album on the Queensland Mental Health Week Facebook page on Wednesday 21 October.
  7. Get your family and friends to vote for your photo to win the People’s Choice award by getting them to ‘react’ to the photo in the 2020 #QMHWTakeTime photo album.
  8. The photo with the most reactions at 5pm on Wednesday 4 November will be announced as the winner of the People’s Choice award. This will be publicly announced on the Facebook page on Thursday 5 November.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The promoter is Queensland Mental Health Week through CheckUP (ABN 56123426111) of Level 2, 36 Russell Street South Brisbane, Qld 4101.
  2. Entrants into the #QMHWTakeTime challenge will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions
  3. Entry is open to residents of Queensland aged 18 years and over except:
    1. employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members;
    2. members of the Queensland Mental Health Week Working Group and their immediate family members;
    3. persons who have breached the terms and conditions of any promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter (Entrants).
  4. The Instagram competition commences on Sunday 4 October 2020 at 8:00am (AEST) finishing Sunday 18 October 2020 at 11.00pm (AEST) (Instagram Challenge Period).
  5. The Facebook competition commences on Wednesday 21 October at 9:00am (AEST) finishing Wednesday 4 November at 5.00pm (AEST) (People’s Choice Period).

How to enter

  1. To enter the #QMHWTakeTime Instagram Challenge and subsequent People’s Choice draws, Entrants must:
    1. Read and agree to these terms and conditions.
    2. Visit the Queensland Mental Health Week Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MentalHealthWeek/ and ‘Like’ the account.
    3. Visit the Queensland Mental Health Week Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/qldmentalhealthweek/ and ‘Follow’ the account.
    4. Upload a creative image with the hashtag #QMHWTakeTime to Instagram with a few words explaining what it means in relation to mental health and wellbeing. Also tag @qldmentalhealthweek in your post.
  2. Entries must be received during the Instagram Challenge period. The time of entry will, in each case, be the time that the entry is recorded on the servers of the Promoter, not at the time of transmission by the Entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
  3. Entrants can post multiple times but can only win one Instagram Challenge prize.
  4. Any costs associated with accessing the Instagram Page are dependent on the internet service provider used by the Entrant and will be borne by the Entrant.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to accept or reject any entry.

Draws and prizes

  1. The Instagram Challenge prize draw will take place on on Tuesday 20 October 2020. The winners will be selected at random by the Promoter’s representative and each winner will receive one of the listed prizes in no particular order.
  2. The QMHW Instagram page and QMHW Facebook Page will announce each winner of the Instagram Challenge publicly on the day of the prize draw and ask the winners to private message the QMHW Instagram Page.
  3. To claim an Instagram Challenge prize, winners must private message the QMHW Instagram page with their postal address. The Promoter will post the Prize to the winner at the address supplied.
  4. Entrants that have entered the Challenge over the Challenge Period will be entered in the People’s Choice prize competition, with their photo uploaded to a Facebook album on the Queensland Mental Health Week page. Entries uploaded into this album will be at the sole discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
  5. The photo with the most reactions at 5pm on Wednesday 4 November 2020 will be awarded the People’s Choice prize.
  6. The QMHW Facebook Page will announce the winner of the People’s Choice prize on Thursday 5 November 2020.
  7. To claim the prize the People’s Choice winner must private message the QMHW Facebook Page with their postal address. The Promoter will post the Prize to the winner at the address supplied.
  8. If a winner does not accept their prize within one week of the respective prize draw, a further prize draw will be conducted from all remaining entries.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to select alternate winner/s if it determines that the winner/s do not adequately satisfy these Terms.
  10. Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash. If for any reason a winner does not take the prize, then the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.

General Terms

  1. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to verify, or require the Entrant to verify, the Entrant’s identity, eligibility to enter the Promotion, entry submitted and compliance with these Terms.
  2. If there is a dispute about the identity of the Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the identity of the Entrant.
  3. All entries become the property of the Promoter. By entering the Promotion, Entrants:
    1. warrant that the Photograph is their own original work and they hold all intellectual property rights in the Photograph; and
    2. grant the Promoter a royalty free, perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to keep, store, reproduce, publish all or part of their entry.
  4. Entrants acknowledge and agree that:
    1. their personal information will be collected by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the social media competition; and
    2. their personal information may be disclosed by the Promoter in accordance with the Promoter’s rights under these Terms;
    3. if they win a Prize, the Promoter can use their personal information to credit them for their entry and disclose their personal information in communication about the Promotion.
  5. Subject to these Terms, Entrants’ personal information will not be disclosed to third parties without the Entrant’s consent unless required or authorized by law. View Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
  6. If the Promotion is compromised in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion. Notice of any changes to the Promotion, including any consequential changes to these Terms, will be given at the Instagram Page.
  7. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury, damages, expenses or loss whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) to persons or property arising in any way out of the Promotion.
  8. Each Entrant indemnifies and keeps indemnified the Promoter against all claims, losses or damages and expenses suffered by the Promoter or any third parties arising out of the breach of these Terms, the conduct of the Entrant in relation to the Promotion or use of a Prize.
  9. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the Promotion is final and binding on all Entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding such decisions, the Promotion, these Terms or the results.
  10. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
