Visit WebsiteOur event is the ‘All Of Us Festival – Celebrating Mental Health Week’ and will be held on Sunday 8 October during Queensland Mental Health Week (7 – 15 October 2023) at Fogarty Park, Cairns, 1pm – 8pm. The purpose of our event is to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and bring our community together. We are planning an outdoor variety concert, children’s activities, food vans, market stalls, Move for Mental Health (clubs and groups walking/riding or driving to the event), a Low Sensory Tent and a large expo of mental health agencies.
An outdoor variety concert (including multicultural dance groups and solo and group singers) is planned. Games (e.g. oversized board games), face painting and other activities will be organised and our large children’s activity area from the 2022 festival will be expanded. Food vans will have an ethnic theme to help promote multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusiveness within the Cairns area. There will be a variety of local market stalls.
All mental health agencies have been asked to support the event by having a stall showcasing what mental health services they offer and increasing awareness of the resources available to support mental health. To ensure a festive, family event, stalls will be memorable, funny, and eye-catching with promotional give-aways, especially for children and teenagers. It is anticipated that 30 mental health agencies will be participating in the expo, making the festival the largest of its kind in Far North Queensland.
