Theatre Games with QSE: A Community Workshop that promotes Positivity and Well-being

Event Type

Date & Time

Saturday, October 10 2020, 1:00 pm

The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble

A half-day theatre games workshop hosted by the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble and led by Artistic Director Rob Pensalfini during Queensland Mental Health Week.

Drawing on games and techniques from the Theatre of the Oppressed canon, this workshop will encourage participants to get into their bodies, to be spontaneous, playful and creative, to interact with others and have lots of fun!

As with all QSE workshops, the opportunity for play and self-expression comes from establishing a safe space and leading intuitively with care and encouragement.

These games are at the core of QSE’s community work in prisons and with veterans, and they are delighted to be partnering with Group 61, ARAFMI, the Red Cross and Communify to host this event.
