Family, friends & COVID19 – The impact young people’s mental health and wellbeing (Online)

The event by ClearThinking Queensland Ltd is a webinar with invited experts, young people (YP), parents, and community organisations.

Videos describing specific mental health (MH) issues, including:

  • the role of the family in adolescent development
  • parental and community strategies to foster the MH of YP
  • the short- and long-term impact of COVID on families and YP
  • how to best cope with these impacts

A Q & A panel discussion will follow.

The event will draw on the CTQ Research Advisory Committee (RAC) led by Dr Peggy Brown and The Mater Emotional Health Unit for expertise.

Invitations will be issued to youth and family NGOs, the QLD MH Commissioner, the Qld Family & Child Commissioner, Headspace, and the Headspace Youth Survey on COVID will be presented.
